Gettys to Hold Christmas Concert at SBTS

According to Esther Crookshank, Director of the Academy of Sacred Music, the Gettys will have a Christmas concert on Thursday, December 9 on the campus of the Louisville Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

“We are thrilled to announce that Keith and Kristyn Getty will be giving a concert at Southern as part of their “Irish Christmas” Concert Tour on Thursday, December 9, at 7:30 pm in Alumni Chapel.  Many of you have heard the Gettys in past concerts at here Southern.  This is a very special opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with your friends, neighbors, families and church groups.  Begin your Christmas season with this amazing evening of worship!

Advance tickets are $10 general admission and $8 with SBTS Shield card. Tickets at the door are $15 general admission and $10 with SBTS card.  Children 12 and under get free admission.  Tickets are on sale at the Event Productions Office (714-6500) and at

In addition, the Gettys have requested a volunteer choir to sing fabulous arrangements of carols and their songs.  You and your musicians can sing with the Gettys!   If you would like to invite strong singers in your church choirs and worship teams to come, please email me their names and:  1) what voice they sing, 2) their mailing address, and 2) cell phone.

Singers must be ticketholders and must attend the rehearsal with the Gettys in Alumni Chapel,  5:30-6:30 pm before the concert.  Music packs will be available for you to pick up by December 1 at the Music/AV Library (897-4055), or can be mailed  to you upon request.
