“The song is generally and principally a song of ‘hope’….I felt in my spirit that He replied to my prayer by saying that indeed He was very much in control and that the days we were living in were special times when He would require Christians to be filled with integrity and to stand up for Him just like Elijah did, particularly with the prophets of Baal.” –Robin Mark [http://www.robinmark.com/detail.php?faqID=5]
[Verse 1] These are the days of Elijah declaring the Word of the Lord
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
And these are the days of Your servant Moses righteousness being restored
Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
And though these are days of great trials of famine and darkness and sword
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
Still we are the voice in the desert crying prepare ye the way of the Lord
A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.
[Chorus] Behold He comes riding on the clouds
Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
So lift your voice it’s the year of Jubilee
Levitcus 25:9-10 (and also through v55)
Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his family property and each to his own clan.
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes
Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your kingcomes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
[Verse 2] And these are the days of Ezekiel the dry bones becoming as flesh
Ezekiel 37:1-3 (and also through v14)
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”
And these are the days of Your servant David rebuilding a temple of praise
I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name
for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things
your name and your word.
And these are the days of the harvest the fields are as white in the world
Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
And we are the laborers in Your vineyard declaring the Word of the Lord
For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard
Behold He comes riding on the clouds shining like the sun at the trumpet call
So lift your voice it’s the year of Jubilee and out of Zion’s hill salvation comes!
