New Songs Recently Introduced at HBC

Last May, we organized a “Sing a New Song” service (opposite from the outdated “Sunday Night Singspiration”/”5th Sunday Singings”) where we gathered together and lifted up the newly introduced songs in one worship service.

Typically we introduce a new song within worship every month or so.  The purpose of this is to reinforce the fact that we are called to sing a new song unto the Lord and singing them all in one service adds a fresh element to worship.

Last May, we sang these songs:

  • Revelation Song (Riddle)
  • I Will Follow (Tomlin)
  • God You Reign (Brewster)
  • The Name of Jesus (Tomlin)
  • Living He Loved Me/O Glorious Day (Hall)
  • My Reward (Stanfill)
  • Defender (Doucette)
  • God of the Ages (Doucette)
  • Glory to God Forever (Fee)
  • Christ is Able (Harland/Walker)
  • How He Loves (McMillan)
  • This is How We Know (Redman)

So far, we have introduced these songs within worship:

  • Behold Our God (Baird/Altrogge)
  • Hosanna (Fraser)
  • Our God Saves (Baloche)
  • Everlasting God (Brown)
  • God Moves in a Mysterious Way (Kauflin)
  • Lead Me to the Cross (Fraser)
  • Never Once (Redman)
  • You Never Let Go (Redman)
  • 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) (Redman)
  • You Alone Can Rescue (Redman)
  • The Saving One (Fieldes/Neufeld)

What songs have YOU introduced recently in worship that others should know and sing?  Leave a comment!
